About The Château
Château de Valette is a beautiful 15th century building sitting in 180 acres of completely private land and located just 9 kilometres from Montignac.
Nestled in its own valley deep in the Dordogne hills and screened from all approaches, you can unwind in the ease, comfort and complete quiet afforded in this discrete setting.
Château De Valette is a beautiful 15th century building, previously a fortified Manoir, sitting in 180 acres of completely private land which has a fence all around it. Located in a very quiet pollution free environment, with no neighbours, only 9 kilometres from the beautiful town of Montignac, where the Vézère River flows under the bridge and is close to so many amenities. The Château nestles in our own valley on top of a hill surrounded by broad leaf woodland and open fields, walnut, fruit and truffle orchards and a 1 acre lake housing wild ducks, black swans, geese, and fish and other wildlife and flora.
The Château has 2 salt water swimming pools; an indoor underground heated pool converted from the original wine cellar, with vaulted ceiling and mood lighting. We also have an outdoor swimming pool where loungers and towels are provided for your comfort and a pool house with a changing area, shower and toilet facilities.
If you prefer to cater for yourself or want further privacy we also have one gîte available close to the outdoor swimming pool with a kitchenette, bathroom with shower, WC and sink. A lounge with log burner and stairs leading to one double bedroom. An outside covered sitting area with private BBQ and access to all other facilities provided by the Château.
We are happy to welcome your well-behaved dogs at the Château and can offer a dog washing and drying area for them as and if required.

Our independent reception room with terrace and views of the park has a maximum capacity of 100 guests.
It has its own fully equipped kitchen and bar and a small stage with a sound system. It is wheelchair accessible. We can organise caterers, live music and bands and so much more to suit your requirements.
